We are so glad to have you!

If you are new to SFSB or to the Suzuki Method, you probably have a lot of questions.  You'll be happy to know that we're having a Parents' Meeting on August 29th, 2011 at 6pm at the Friendship Center.  Here you'll be able to ask as many questions as you'd like as well as hear from experienced Suzuki parents. 

Here are a few thoughts about the Suzuki approach to studying music. Whether you have ever studied music yourself or have absolutely no musical experience, Suzuki method can work for your family.  It is, at its core, about family.  It is about learning together, making music together, and experiencing all the joys and challenges that come with making a commitment to learning.  You will have challenging times and you will have moments of pure wonder at what you and your child can accomplish.  It’s my job to help you through all of these times and it is our job, together in the Suzuki triangle (child, parent and teacher), to create the most positive and nurturing environment for learning possible.
